Introduction to Mayan languages
This course is an introduction into Mayan languages with the goal to understand hieroglyphic Maya. It consists of an introduction into some modern Maya varieties, followed by occupation with Classical Maya. The course is divided into four parts:
o Introduction to the Quiché language of the book Popol Vuh
o Introduction to Kaqchikel
o Introduction to Yucatecan Maya
o Introduction to Classical Maya (hieroglyphs)
